An ambition realised

Sorry folks I had to finish off some work.

Firstly, thanks for your the suggestions all of which were very entertaining.

The ambition realised is not exactly a life changing one but is one that I have looked forward to for sometime.

At the weekend Brenda and I had the greatest pleasure in finally meeting crabbit and his good lady Pearl.

We spent a thoroughly splendid evening with them in the fair city of Perth in the company of scunner and the lovely Steph.

This event had been planned some three years ago with hotels etc. being booked but unfortunately Brenda fell ill and we could not travel.

So finally meeting crabbit was indeed an ambition realised.

It was a pleasure meeting the Famous Highlander and his long suffering Wife Brenda at last , I have only one thing to add "055"

By amazing coincidence, 0055 is the international dialling code for the country we most associate Highlander's jewel purchases with

It was a fabulous night - not least because of the company but also an amazing restaurant. We had Highlander banging his head on the table several times, doubled up with laughter from the great Crabbit and Scunner show.

Sadly we were later upstaged by the Steph and Pearl double act

We should say that crabbit and pearl had no idea that Brenda and I were going to be there.

It was one of those occasions when nothing was really planned, one that you hoped would go well and for some reason just "took off" and turned into one that you will always remember with great fondness  .

PS there were indeed times during the evening when I was banging me head on the table.
