Glad you got it resolved Tony, I've always found A2B to be totally accommodating & a small tip for the driver works miracles when you want dropping at a private residence!

Thanks Mark, yes all resolved, majority of "tribe" left last night ( from the apartment). The disappointing thing about this issue is that prior to this we too have been impressed by the service, and as you quite correctly say I am normally so happy with the service I normally give the driver a 10 lira tip ( hardly a " king's ransom ", but equates to approx. 50 % of tariff).

Mark its alright for you sitting in england ,saying its not a problem ,for a big strapping bloke like you it probably isn't ,you haven't been here for quite a few months the bloody roads are very very bad ,how can you expect a women with push chair to walk to nearest hotel, you want a cab door to door ,if they all said that fair enough ,taxis drivers go door to door its just another Turkish scam to save money or something else ,A2b get good right ups on here so they should accept the bad ones ,i wont use them again ,maybe when calis is not like kandahar high street they will start up again ,they wont get there cars dirty or damaged, then. >:(

I think Lance is absolutely spot on, taxis should be door to door. Otherwise why bother? I remember one taxi in Canaries years ago that dropped me a good 100yds climb away from our apartment, alone with 4 children and all the baggage that entailed; think of the masses of luggage in those days plus a pushchair etc. it was an absolute nightmare. He drove off at the speed of light! I'm not so daft now! I'd never use a company that wouldn't pick me up at my door and drop me at my destination.

Our family used A2B transfer and have just emailed to say excellent service, although the driver didn't know their hotel a fellow passenger did and they were dropped off at predicted time, their pickup was on time and the driver was really helpful with their luggage etc. really pleased with the price and service.

I have a real issue with A2B and am currently in dispute with them. Yes its cheap, but they are impossible
to contact. On their voucher they are insistent that you get a pick-up time, but it never seems to work on
the website, (probably because the local agent -- Sarpendon -- dont bother). They also suggest you
send an email to Sarpendon -- who never respond -- sent 3 --- then suggest if all else fails you call
Sarpendon, who rarely answer, got them finally on the day of travel after 5 attempts. ( I have asked for the costs
of the UK mobile calls to be refunded).

So, surely the simple answer would have been to contact A2B in the UK?? After all
the telephone numbers and an email would be on their website wouldnt it? Its not!! I found
an email finally and sent an mail - to receive an "FAQ" response and telling me to do all things that
I said in my email had not worked!

I can put up with the early drop at Dalaman, (pain but OK), and I dont mind waiting around a bit at Dalaman,
it is not long, it is the same every year, getting in contact with anyone who can give the pick-up time, I am on holiday,
I dont want to keep chasing them! Spending money doing it!

Now I know people will say, correctly, we use xxx and it is only xxx a head, but that doesnt help when there are only
2 of you! We need some competition to A2B, is there any, anyone know of someone else doing shared travel even if a little bit more?

I'll definitely be looking for alternatives next trip, if there are 2+, I'll probably revert to F.A.T. as their service was always first class, but if we travel individually that is just not cost effective, if I discover an alternative I'll update you  :)

I booked A2B just last week for my transfer to Dalaman tonight. I have been to their office today, which is just behind Alo 24 near Sunday market. They have confirmed my pick up time, which is only around 30 mins before I would have booked a private transfer, & at my home address. I always end up calling into the office, as our sokak no on the blue sign, is NOT the same as that on Google Earth, which they use & I can never remember the Google Earth sokak no.

Travel republic do transfers, I have used them in the past. Pickup time was a bit early though.

We used A2B in May and they were fine, other than when  I contacted them to arrange return pick up.  The time quoted was a bit earlier than I would have wanted but they did stick to it, but the person I spoke to didn't know where Caretta Apartments were even though they'd dropped us off no problem when we'd arrived!  Spent quite a while (on a UK mobile) giving directions then, because the first guy didn't speak good English, he passed me on to someone else to go through it all again. After we'd got back I received an email from A2B asking me to complete a survey rating their performance.  I commented on this phone call and how much it had cost me and thought they should have known where to pick us up as it was a return transfer not one way.

As yet, I haven't had a reply. Other than that I would probably use them again.
