Now that his actions have been exposed, I'm sure there will be a few old scrubbers in the vacinity, wanting to buy some fish from him.

How very disrespectful to women and particularly woman who stay in Calis.   To imply they would welcome an encounter with a sex pest is unbelievable...  >:( :(

Quite, especially as I believe Ray1951 is a female member.

There was no disrespect intended, especially if you are a respectable person but lets not kid ourselves we all know that there are some women out there who have no respect for themselves and who are the subject of many a 'laugh' when people get together. There are lots of inuendo's about older women and young Turkish men! The fish man may not have had any bad intention other than being overly freindly, to which some people may find unwelcome.

In what area is this happening around Calis? All over or just in one specific area? Rather concerning that a man is harassing women under the pretense of business. If this is still happening up to the holiday then I'll make sure to warn our group of any suspicious people around the apartment area and pool.

If he tried to tickle my feet or legs he'd get a kick somewhere painful! Though that's out reflex.

Ray1951, there may be some women like that (though I've yet to meet any) but currently it seems this man has made more people uncomfortable than anything else. We all know Turkish people are very friendly but there's a boundary, and some feel that this man has clearly crossed it

The fish comments have given me a right chuckle today particularly the "balik" one   :) But I am very surprised by Ray1951's comment...yes we all know the stories about old English women and young Turkish men, indeed we sat on the prom and watched two occasions it may have been nothing but we found it a little cringey all the same... this is very different indeed to have someone try to touch you tickle you or whatever when you are not a willing party in it....
Miss M one incident was a house up by the old upy downy bridge and another in Koca Calis I will have a look on facebook later for an update....

Ray, I find your comments totally unacceptable and was shocked to read them, seeing as the incident refers to me and my friend who most certainly do not wish to receive any attention of this kind! It was an extremely uncomfortable situation as he walked straight in and when we told him we did not want to buy his fish and asked him to leave in Turkish as he sat himself down, he then tried to kiss my friend who pushed him away and then he tried to kiss me and I pushed him firmly away and told him to get out!! Overly friendly or not I believe he would never try to do that to Turkish women! And Ray we are two very respectable ladies who were totally unnerved by the experience!!!

GillS, I am sorry that you have had such an unpleasant experience and meant no disrespect. This must have been quite frightening and fortunately you were not alone. May I point out that at no time did I make reference to nationality.  Whilst some comments have been regarded as 'humerus', others aren't. This man should certainly be reported and people should be very careful, especially if they are alone.  I live alone and would be terrified if I encountered him.  I do take preventative measures and can tell you that anyone accosting me,  would easily be identified for at least 7 days after any incident. I will say no more and hope that this man is dealt with to ensure the safety of any female.  Apologies for any unintentional offence caused.
