Yes, I know what you mean.  When we were in Calis in May one of the 'front of house' guys who we know quite well now asked me why I always carried a wrap (or something similar) with me in an evening when the weather was actually fabulous and stayed warm well into the night.  I replied that it's a 'just in case' which was a regular item of clothing when living in the UK! Hard habit to break   ;)  I hasten to add that I wouldn't be doing that if I was there now, but we've had some cold evening in May in the past!   :o

I was caught out several times in Ovacik when we used to stay up there, if we had been to Fethiye of an evening it's a bit of a shock when you get off the bus up there, so I know just what you mean.

Just been through Henley, the most beautiful hot English summer day, lots if ice cream, hats, boats and happiness. . .aah perfect!
There's an icecream boat on the river ouse in York!
And to prove the point I have arranged. at no small expense to have the evidence for all to see in tonight's One Show at 1900 - I hope ! Magnum opus so to speak.

The temperature is forecast to be 30deg plus next week in England, but it is definitely not the same as being in Calis where there is a lovely breeze in the afternoon, and most of us are not near enough to the coast to appreciate the hot weather. The people who have to work in these hot temperatures do not like it either.  Looking forward to being back in Turkey in September.
