Still brings a tear to the eye - what a day it must have been   :).

It was one of the greatest days of our lives (the good lady and me) - it brought a few tears to a few eyes then too. So humbling to see what some have (don't have) and how happiness and possessions really aren't linked at all.

So glad I took that short piece of video, to share with those who supported us but couldn't be there.

Just watched the video of the children in their smart new classroom, in their pristine new uniforms receiving their bags of goodies.  I wish I could have understood a word of what they were saying! but the excitement was palpable.  How much involvement do the CBF have with the school now?  I, like Menthol, will now be changing my transfer choice, a company who could help that much for no rewards deserves our support.

CBF was purely working to raise money for the school, the relationship with it was initiated (and maintained) by the 3C Calis Children's Charity, who turn money into what is needed. They are the ones who never stop, the ones who give up their days and evenings to raise money, then deliver it in their own cars and even end up out of pocket in doing so by using their own petrol to deliver the dreams!

Here is a 'one year on' story kindly written by Fethiye Times: http://www.fethiyetimes.com/news/44-news/7162-what-a-difference-a-year-makes-bozalan-school-renovated-revitalised-and-reviewed-thanks-to-charitable-efforts.html

Whilst there is always a new school or project to move on to, there is a maintained relationship forged with all. I will ask them if they could visit this topic and tell us how things are at Bozalan, 18 months on. In the meantime, another link for you - 3Cs took 75 excited kids from Bozalan and another local school, to Fethiye for the Children's Day celebrations in April:

http://www.calis-beach.co.uk/forum/calis_childrens_charity/sunny_smiles_bozalan_visit_childrens_day_celebrations_the_pictures_50955.0.html

As I recall, they got from the mountains down to Fethiye and back courtesy of Fethiye Airport Transfers.

Thank you Keith for that, nice for us newer forum members to see what you have been getting up to. Hope all the things that have been done for the children helps them get a better start to life than they may have had before.

The taxis provided free by FAT were the key factor in our decision to use them this year and our family and ourselves on each occasion have been impressed with the service!
