Sultan City Aqua Park - Free Admission?
« on: July 24, 2013, 13:41:25 PM »
We were looking at the new website, as my daughter would like to take my granddaughter next year.
It seems they have free entry, but we cannot make head nor tail of the website and just how you get the tickets.  It seems totally confused.
If you go to  http://www.sultansaquacity.com/en/   Then at the right hand side is the word
KAMPANALAR  click into this and go around in circles looking for the free entry tickets.
 :( ??? :  :) :-\

I know it was always free admission if it was your birthday & you had to show your passport as proof, other than that not free.

VIP Card order online or at the gate, only good if you are resident from what I can make out.

FREE ENTRY LENGTH OF SEASON AQUAPARK     (Free but you have to pay?)
Should spend  250TL VIP CARD TAKE WATER SLIDES 'Make a free entry for 2013 season.
Use all kinds of inside your spending credits.
* Valid for the 2013 summer season. (As to 15/09/2013.)
* Repayment of the loan is made.
* Credit cards can not be transferred to another amount.
* Free entry only benefit cardholders.

Home card 5TLdiscount

But nothing for free, at the moment, unless a shop or restaurant has a deal on.  Calis beach Restaurant used to have a deal but it was alittle vague.

Personally, I think it is a little expensive for what it is.  and the "Free" offer is vague to, the Turkish translation of free in this case should be indirim, sale/discount

Thanks Loz, so nothing free.  I remember there used to be a restaurant on the left hand side of the prom and the guy was a Brother of the owner and he gave out discount cards, but I have not heard about him for a while.

That I think was the Calis Restaurant, there is a thread on here somewhere when members had a meal and asked for the tickets for the Aqua Park they were not forthcoming.

This is not about Sultan City, but if you are thinking of going to the Grand Ucel Hotel waterpark in Ovacik, please be careful. We stayed there a couple of years ago and whilst it's great fun for the kids,  the area around the slides is marble or similar and when wet is extremely slippery. The natural inclination of kids in such areas is to run, and I saw a few people's feet go from under them several times even when they were just walking.

One nasty incident that I didn't see was a teenager who slipped and hit the marble head first a feet feet behind me. When I say I didn't see it, I felt it - and just the noise of the impact sickened me. Poor lad didn't know what day of the week it was. I urged the parents to go to hospital, but he seemed to be a bit better a couple of hours later.

The, erm..."relaxed" Turkish attitude to Health and Safety I suppose provides some of the charm of the country, but it does mean you should take extra care in such places.

I know, that is what the thread was about, the Ad for the Sultans was being shown, only at the end of the meal were they told it was no longer available.
