The best one I heard was a rather posh English holidaymaker asking for the dolmus driver to stop with "Anywhere along here you feel is suitable please driver"...

We heard one lady shouting louder and louder from the back - I thought she was insulting someone's intelligence by saying 'derrr.....derrrr' - then I saw the road sign at the junction!

I can help you with this...

Stop the Dolmuş please - muirsait bir yerde lütfen

Pronounced moo sigh beer yeah de

Literal translation - stop the Dolmuş where it is convenient

You need to say musait bi yerde

Moo site be yeah de

Roughly it means a place where you can stop soon.

You can also use inecek var

In a jek var

Meaning there's a stop.

My Turkish teacher told me of a student who said inek var by mistake, meaning theres a cow.

I usually say 'stop please' and find it works a treat.  ;)
