Don,
I take it they are behind the ear ones? I had to get in the canal for using the phone at work and mobile. I understand your problem I think.
However I think some new aids now have Bluetooth which can be used with any Bluetooth phone.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for the info.

I have the canal type also but they let out a high pitched whine when anything gets close to them. I have to use the speaker on the land lines but that's not very practical on a mobile.

I don't know what blue tooth is but I plan to change my hearing aids next May when we get back after wintering in Turkey so I'll enquire then.

Don, Bluetooth is basically a wireless connection between audio devices. You've probably seen folks using earpieces without wires connected to mobile phones or radios connected to headphones without wires. That's Bluetooth.

It'll be well worthwhile speaking to the people at your Hearing Centre about it before choosing your next appliance.

Thanks KKOB for that.

I'm having a hearing aid check before we leave home so i'll check it out then.

Highlander likes the Premier Inn 24 app. It lets you know all the best room prices, 24 hours after they've all been booked :D

HELP, I am the only person on the planet that hasn't got any!!!!!!!!Do I get a special award lol.  I purchased a 2nd hand I Phone 3, really cheaply, GREAT. Went to the UK, my son-in-law set me up with an Apple ID, which at the time didn't make a mental not of, NOT GREAT, have now retrieved that. GREAT I THOUGHT, apps here I come......Now saying I have to update to IOS 5. Doesn't give me any instructions how to or even what it is. Tried downloading it on my computer, NOT GREAT, wouldn't do it.  So Appless from Calis, you know I am not techy. ANY HELP that would get me into Appland would be much appreciated.
