A Dolmus drivers personal best ?
« on: October 22, 2013, 13:56:39 PM »
Travelled back from Fethiye to Hisaronu this afternoon on a Dolmus ( standing ) and I kid you not ... from Migros stop, all the way to Hisaronu I counted 45 passengers the whole journey at any one time  !!!!  The biggest number I  can ever remember.. it was horrendous  :-(  my wifes face was under some guys smelly arm pit all the way .. we were squashed in like sardines, like never before  !!  it has to be a record... I  only thank god the roads weren`t greasey from rain.

We had a few like that last week - can't remember how many we counted but it was hot and very uncomfortable.

My daughters inform me it was 28 that we counted on the dolmus last week. Must be equivalent to 45 on the Hisaronu dolmus as the Calis ones are 28/45ths size of yours :D

Ha Ha, love it, now you are finally realising what a great country the U K is, don't get that problem there, and its only about £ 3.00 to go two stops.   :)  :)  :)

We still love the Dolmus`s here :-)  and always have.. the sheer regularity  and convenience of them is what makes it.. even in the winter here. Driving with one hand and mobile phone in the other.. dangerous we know but hey... this is Turkey   ;)   We dont miss our car back in the UK when here as location is brilliant.

Love them but they are cheap for a reason. No health and safety rules!

I could run a bus for that price in York and it would be overflowing - IF it was allowed.

Wait until they get in the EU. Then again it only seems to be us in the UK who abide by the rules so nothing will change I guess  :)
