Could anyone please tell me if I purchase a visa on line to travel end of April , will the same visa do me for another trip end of May and again in September given the 180days. If so that excellent, however doubt it. Appreciate if any one can advise.
Also we did not know anything about the e visa till we read it on this fab forum so thanks again, Mary

Mary Anne when you apply the system tells you when the 180 days are up. Just make sure that you will not be spending more than 90 days in Turkey during that period.

If you apply from todays date the 180 days are up on the 12th July.

As I understand it from googling e-visa to Turkey, once the visa has been booked it cannot be altered, i.e. dates etc.  but there is meant to be confirmation of what the authorities will do with regards to people arriving without e visas, in the next few weeks!!

I'm just looking at my e-visa.  I take it that when we arrive at passport control, they will have things in place to read the bar codes, which will in turn record all our information.  If not then it will take forever and a day for them to input all the info. Obviously they will have to enter a stamp of sorts in our passports.  I would suggest that people also print out their 'invoice' just incase they ask for it.  Until the process has been up and running for a while, we should be prepared for any and every eventuality.  It has been very easy to obtain the e-visa.  I just hope things run smoothly on arrival in Turkey.

Ray, my wife had an eVisa when we flew into Istanbul last month on our way down (in case we were late for our connection) and it was very quick, with the eVisa and passport both being stamped. As it happened we were on time and there were minimal queues so £3 wasted!

Usually if you don't have the visa for the country you are visiting you are not allowed to board the plane.

I received this a couple of days ago from Travel Republic.

Currently the price for the e-visa is $20 per person, where at the airport on arrival £20 per person.

Best Regards
Travel Republic

You all may already know about this £20 charge but I didn't. So if your a couple with 2 kids it could
cost you £80...ouch.

Anyone else received this message from the Republic of Turkey when applying for a visa

"Be careful! This sender has failed our fraud detection checks."
