I think Scunner has summed up the strength or otherwise of the inherited 'championship winning squad for Moyes.  Not forgetting of course Man U also benefited from the arrival of a motivated RVP in his first season putting in goals for fun, that made a big difference to carrying an otherwise very poor squad across the line.

Today a lot of callers referring to "feeling sorry for Moyes" re the squad he took on.

It was the Black Cats, good game and I note M.U. are playing with a distinct lack of confidence. Fergie, Charlton and Robson all sitting together did not look happy at all.  However, I have an idea M.U. will beat Sunderland on the second leg at Old Trafford.
