Its bollox from start to finish.  E-visas accepted at *all* Turkish airports.

Colwyn - for all its faults, even the DM wouldn't get a story THAT wrong... or maybe they would!

double the price double the staying time    :)
Don't go spooking people! The price has only gone up to £12 approx. - 20% rise, not double the price. As to double the staying time, if you are just an ordinary tourist you don't need to be opening that can of worms. Many keyboards have been worn out writing about the 90/180 rule.

I am happy to say that the new E-Visa doubles my staying time. Under the old Visa system,  I usually go out to Calis in May for a couple of weeks, the old Visa would have run out in August.  I would not go back out again until September staying for a few weeks, so would normally have to pay £10.00 again for another Visa.  Under the new system, the one E-Visa, as it lasts for six months, would be valid for both holidays, so I do  indeed have double the staying time  8) ;D 8)

Oh yes, it would and has. Do you remember the "Local council abolishes Christmas. We have to call it Winterval now" story. They ran that for many years. A great many people in Britain still think it was true. After many years they pretended to make a retraction but made it sound as though it was through the Mail's investigative journalism that Birmingham City Council was forced to "clarify" the story - i.e. to confirm the DM's story was complete bo11ox from start to finish.

What do we to look forward to next? "Bulent Arinc ate my hamster", "Turkish Airlines plane found on the Moon", .....

P.S. That might be right about Arinc though.

"Bulent Arinc ate my hamster"

https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/

This is the official site for getting a visa and the only one you should use.  They will charge $20 per visa which works out at about £14 at the moment.
