Clay pigeon shooting.

Has anyone heard or seen anything about a shooting club here in Fethiye. I do not mean a hunting club but clay or skeet shooting. It would be great if something like this was local as I miss it very much.

The only club in the area is the Sport Shooting club and, as far as I know they don't do any clay shooting. To become a member of the club you have to be introduced by an existing member.

It might be worth your while going to speak to Mehmet who owns the gun shop at the Fish Market. He speaks reasonable English and may be able to get you an introduction to somebody who knows where you might be able to go clay shooting.

Just a word of warning though. I've been out hunting with locals and, to be quite frank, I wouldn't go again. Gun safety doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary.

the official name of the "hunting club" in fethiye is actually fethiye avcilar aticilar spor klubu dernegi which is fethiye hunting and shooting sports club and they have a range in okaliptus park , on the way to uzumlu next to the forest fire helicopter area. you can get up to date information by visiting the club and days for shooting. there are many members who does not do hunting but shooting only and they can give you accurate information
