Mine was Animal Quackers which my daughter and I used to watch every week., It was her favourite programme... It came on and I was saying in amazement. Rachel.. Rory the lion is BLUE!!!   It was even great to watch football because the grass was GREEN....My mum and dad used to watch Pot Black...in black and white... No idea how they knew what colour balls they were potting..

My grandparents neighbours had the first colour TV in the area, Aunty Betty came and asked if I wanted to come and watch the TV, uncle Harold was watching Bonanza, I asked him why everyone looked a bit green, he said the colour was not working right (even in those days) this was 1967/8.  Every time Bonanza came on the TV after that I always saw little Joe in green.

One of the girls in my form at school was, to put it politely, an utter snob. I think she told everyone in the school during her first conversation with them that her parents had bought the first colour television in the whole of York. Imagine the mirth, when only months later, she came to school in high dudgeon, complaining that the said TV had blown up the night before & severely singed the curtains    ;)

I think the first programme I can remember watching in colour was Starsky & Hutch, when babysitting for my Mum's boss

I remember rushing home from school to get to my Aunties house to watch Shang-a Lang with the Bay City Rollers, to see my love gods in colour was the absolute highlight of my life.
