Yep, I re-located one from someone elses bike in 1959 and had a 1GBP fine in court, which ruined my chance of being in the RM Band.

Very fancy but did the battery leak??

When you look back, bike lights were crap in the day, they were like cheap torches, work great for a short while then go very dim or flicker. you could gaurantee the bateries would leak.

But due to complex technology, you could use them on very dim for weeks

Aah, the old carbide lamp, used to have some great fun with carbide !! I had one of the same model as Mr. Tickets !!

I didn't have a bike....let alone a torch.
