Anchored in Fethiye bay, yesterday gale force winds, thunder / lightning all around us for several hours this morning, we saw a few direct hits over in the Calis area. It as been no fun at all.
I look at www.mgm.gov.tr quite accurate and has an English section, the daily marina report for Fethiye will show you the weather to expect throughout the day. Hope it settles down soon so we can get sailing.

The last week has been crazy! Extremely high winds, a massive thunder storm, cloudy and overcast especially in the afternoon onwards. It was just as well we got out early and enjoyed the bit of sun when it was out. The winds have been really unseasonal and the massive rollers crashing in were more like winter according to Carol at Guvens. She was even out getting photos of them as they broke to shore, covering sunbeds, tables, knocking down sun umbrellas in their path. And cold at night would you believe. Not just draughty but downright bliddy cold! :o :o

Beautiful morning in Calis. Warm with a blue sky and a few white clouds.

Another lovely morning in Calis. A bit cloudy over the mountains same as yesterday.Probably get a little rain in the late afternoon which hopefully will not last. A definite improvement.
