You can also download Prey, which when you activate tracks your device and sends you emails to tell you it's location.

Thank you everyone, I have locked their ipads here from England and it just says offline all of the time which means they most probably will just trash them, the rings and bracelets were the main thing and my dads watch which was engraved, they have rung their insurance and they are sending the forms to them there insurance in the apartment apparently they can't claim on because the terrace door was open even though mum and dad were sat just inches away on the sunbeds, the apartment is of the Baris manco road up near the Chinese sok 966 I think in Calis.  I have just spoken to them and they are still shock up but they said it won't put them off as we have all been coming here for about 18 years and just brought last year Im going in 2 weeks time and I feel I may turn into miss marple lol, thank you again for information If you know any gold shops that may buy and sell please let me know, my mum had 2 rings that were very old and distinctive I managed to send a picture to them and the police have copied them.  All of the stuff taken we think was put into a gold sanctuary bag which they took from my room it has orange lining.  Once again thank you for your advice  Sam

sorry to hear about this awful experience your parents have had, and its very worrying for me and my family as I`m hiring a villa in sokak 966, is this area a common place for thefts?

It's a really good idea to take photos if any personal valuables you are taking on holiday. It will have helped the police in this case. I hope your parents are feeling less shaken now. It's a horrible violation, hard to forget.

(I also used to take photos of everything I'd left in Fethiye when we went home. That helped me not to duplicate when I went back too).

Hi,  if you have photos, you could put them on here, someone may be offered them, and be able to  help identify them for you!

As said, go and speak to Sedat at Zumrat Jewellery Shop in the Main Street in Calis and give him the descriptions.   Also try the other jewellery shops in Calis and the little shop that does the jewellery repairs down by the Guitar Bar.   When my shop was robbed,  I took descriptions around everywhere and I did find some of my stuff which lead to a conviction.
I did realise that the Insurance would not pay out if you had an open door or window, also they will not pay out if your valuables are not in a safe... This is a good lesson for all of us, glad you parents have not been put off coming to Calis and I am sure they will take the necessary precautions in future.
Good luck hope you can get some results.
A very good  thing for us all to do is gather up all our jewellery on a table and take some images of the pieces and make a note of what stones are in the rings and what gold they are i..e. 9c. 18c. 24. etc.,
Also make a note of any inscriptions.  When a robbery or a loss occurs the police and insurance always ask for receipts and or images of pieces.

I have started leaving all my expensive/sentimental jewellery at home now and wear only costume jewellery on holiday as even if you are wearing the jewellery gold chains can be snatched
