 I'm writing this with tears in my eyes, I came down to Turkey for a brief Vacation am,I'm stuck in TURKEY right now,i came down here on vacation, were i was robbed, worse of it was that my bags, cash and credit cards were stolen of me at GUN POINT, it's such a crazy experience for me, i need help flying back home, the authorities are not being 100% supportive but the good thing is that i still have my passports but don't have enough money to clear the hotel bills, please i need you to loan me some money, I'll reimburse you as soon as I'm back home.PROMISE,You have my word,We've been to the embassy and police they want a relative or friend to arrange hotel bills for us and we told the hotel manager to add enough money onto the bill so we can get cash to take a taxi to the airport. All i need is 2,750 POUNDS to sort out the bills,l will refund you as soon as am back home,You can wire the $$ to me from any western union outlet around you and here the details you need to get it to me;

I just had the same email from "Mark" I have had a similar  email about 3 years ago.  It was suppose to be from a friend of mine who was robbed in Dubai.   I rang my friend who was still down the road, but someone had hacked her email and sent the same message to 325 friends. She had to change her email address.
However, this current email about Mark is worrying. He is not an email friend of mine, so I am thinking maybe the Forum has been hacked to members email addresses??  Hope admin will look into this, because as far as I know Marc does not have my email details.

No.  As far as we are aware the forum database is secure and has not been "hacked".

The email list used for these type of scams are mainly obtained by infected PC's with a virus that forwards contact lists and harvests online contact lists.

Thanks John for your quick reply.  Hope someone tells Mark that his email has been hacked.  I think, looking back quite a few years now, he had my email as we arranged him to pick up some Charity stuff from me.

I've changed my mind, after a very convincing PM, it must have been a hack otherwise how would they get all these associated email addresses to send to
