I stayed in a AI 5 star hotel in Marmaris this year and they even charged extra for the safe in the room plus you had to leave a cash deposit for beach towels.

When we stayed at Letoonia 11 years ago, everything was free, the top restaurants had to be booked before hand but there was no charge and the  boat that ran every half hour to Fethiye Harbour was also free.
Now, they charge for the top restaurants and the boat as well. Considering how much it is to stay there, I cannot understand why they are now charging for these things.

We don't normally do too many all inclusive holidays and apart from the odd short break in Antalya which we have enjoyed we went t the El Dorado Casitas Royale in Mexico, everything was included, breakfast always had bottles of champagne on ice along with no less than seven different brands of vodka including Grey Goose (apparently Americans like a Bloody Mary with breakfast?) all of the onsite restaurants were different gourmet themes so no need to book. The ground floor suites were all swim up, there was a double bed on your outside patio, the drinks fridge was full of quality brands and replenished three times a day, the bars also only served branded spirits and champagne at no extra charge.

I think I might be a bit disappointed at the Sensatori Fethiye by comparison !!

I remember freshly squeezed orange juice being 2TL in one AI place we stayed in over there - probably Letoonia Belek.

Why were people having to pay for their "crappy meal" anyway? In Tunisia last year there was the main buffet restaurant and 3 a la carte ones, all included inm the price. I've never heard of having to pay for food at a 5* AI?

Lotty, it's not a problem, a little bloke dressed in a big sombrero will push your sun bed down the lazy river, stop off at the submerged cocktail bar en route and then onto your suite where he will help you onto your bed. I used him all the time after being on the grey goose at breakfast !!!!
