I respectfully disagree Scunner.

Locking it is a positive and deliberate action and therefore suggests that it isn't appropriate.

Leaving it to wither is just ignoring it IMO.

This place is an extremely useful resource and I enjoy reading the banter etc but some things just don't feel right and it's important to make a point sometimes. It's your board and you'll have your own view of course.

I haven't read the topic correctly it seems- what is the problem with it? It appears to be people talking about coincidental dates and the like, you need to explain why this is inappropriate.

We try harder than most to let adults discuss what they want.

I suspect the poster has an issue with the opening post, which was a bit... something.  Not the subsequent discussion.

My take on this is that the dreadful business concerning the Malaysian air disaster was trivialised by numerical coincidences. Not needed IMO.

Perhaps it's someone looking for a conspiracy where there isn't one.

It is fairly unusual for members to want a topic locked but not till nearly 30 replies had been made (and 1500 views) but if that is what people feel then I shall lock it.

This is not a facebook group, we don't delete anything we disagree with. I do feel that if members find something disagreeable they avoid it, replying brings it to the top of the pile for further exposure. For the record I was not offended by the content of the original post. Posting it in entirely the wrong section is however unforgivable.

Must admit that number coincidences do little for me but I can't understand why some are getting upset by the OP.

I'm sure there are much worse things being said about that flight in the guise of humour.
