Grown-up football shirts for kids
« on: August 17, 2014, 09:47:42 AM »
For years we bought the Galtasaray/Besiktas/Fenerbahce counterfeit shirts in the market. Anyone who has had these know that they last only a few weeks before they start to fall apart so are a false economy really. Yesterday, we stopped by the Fethiyespor shop on the way to the Water Taxi yesterday (after a meal at the rather fab Mozaik Bahce - more when I get home) and got a couple of official Fethiyespor shirts. Admittedly last year's kit (like the kids will notice) for 35 lira each - £10. Excellent quality, authentic Umbro kits and the kids are delighted with them too. Dad is also delighted that his kids aren't gloryhunting sheep. Dad is far too old for footie kits so invested in a slightly more tasteful polo shirt (50 lira).

The locals are also constantly giving us compliments (and offering immediate discounts on the spot) which is lovely too.

As always, don't be a sheep - support your local (Turkish) team.

Yes.  Like last season's PSG shirts.
