Behind the squares in the grid there is a number between 1 and 12 which represents a line from the song - (1) partridge in a pear tree , (2) turtle doves, (3) French hens, (4) calling birds, (5) golden rings, (6) geese, (7) swans, 8 maids, (9) ladies, (10) Lords, (11) pipers and (12) drummers.
There is one square that has a 1, two squares that have a 2, three squares that have a 3 etc., etc.
I will reveal what is behind each square over the 12 days.
If you have been good enough to take a square, you will be asked to donate £ 1.00 for each of the corresponding numbers in the song. For example, if a 4 is behind D1 you would be asked to donate £ 4.00.
