There'll be nothing left to eat soon!    ;)

These things have always been there Lotty. I once watched a documentary about patients with a medical problem within their gut (cant remember what the condition was). Their treatment was to ingest worms and eggs so that they would hatch out in their digestive system and it alleviated the problem.  It was on going treatment, if they had a bug, or passed too many of the worms, they were given more.  Apparently it worked like magic. Nature is a wonderful thing and is best left to its own devises!  Blood sucking leech and maggots in wounds to eat flesh rotting illnesses, the list goes on and on, best not to think about it.

i always think of the 36 foot worm in a jar in the Biology Lab when I was a student.  It was taken from the stomach of a 12 year old boy after he ate meat with worm eggs.  Every time I was in the lab and we were having a lecture, my eyes always wandered to that shelf and that jar.
I know farmed meat today is very good and farmers worm their animals, but I still could not eat meat that was rare.

I wouldn't worry about how rare it was, I'd eat a unicorn if it was cooked properly.  ;)
