These figures are interesting.  I have noted on T.A. that a few members of T.A. and one in particular, always tell other members not to join CBF as it is only for ex-pats who live in Calis.
I always thought that was wrong.  Seems I may be right.

Having been a member of the Fethiye Expats Group, and the English Fethiye Buy and Sell, thank God we are not an Expat forum. In fact, we never have been - even when many of us were expats. There is another idiot on Facebook who barks on that we have no right to speak for British expats in Calis!!

We are a resort information website  :)

No problem Des. I have a feeling the TR percentage started very low when CBF began and slowly grew - both as more Brits moved there and due to local people and businesses joining. Based on nothing factual at all, I would say it peaked at around 22% and pretty much stayed there forever after.

I'll keep looking for some old stats though.

Winter, spring and summer - I just love the view.  As cold and wet as it is today, it's still good to gaze over the farmland.  They almost managed to hide the mobile phone, landline and electricity in the woods too!
The front is just like any other road full of houses but when I sit in the back, I have my own daydreaming space and could be anywhere.

As for Rhodes - I'm obsessed with seeing it.

I know what you mean. I was the same - although you have the position to see it, I saw it twice in all my years there!

People absolutely dismissed the idea that you could see it at all through the narrow gap looking out of the bay from Calis prom - so with the help of Google Earth I educated them  :)

Bluwise, rather like you we live in a very ordinary road in the front, but from the back we have a pleasing view. I take particular pleasure in the wildlife we get - the record being 43 species of birds in one year; only 35 so far this year but there is still 3 months to go. And in the autumn the wooded slope opposite is splendid.

Glorious Colwyn.
We don't seem to get much in the way of wildlife.  I have only seen one fox in 15 years and two hedgehogs.  I can't recognise many Birds but we do have a couple of Buzzards nearby and we are visited by House Martins (or maybe they're Swallows, I'm not sure) each year.  Always sad when they leave.
