calis beach prices

My name is Steve, and live in Kent, England. Being a new registered member to CBF and hoping I am doing this correctly. Wanting to know daily prices in Calis for meals, drinks etc. Along with the Gulet boat trips average prices. The more info the better really. I have booked a family holiday for August 2015 for 2 weeks and cannot wait. Last visited this area 6 years ago, so probably many changes. What is best regarding currency, purchase before I go or get out there. Do you get better rate out there for your sterling ?? . Currently at home its 3.31 Turkish lira to the £, would the rate be better in August in Calis..

goon3r1 - with the greatest respect if anyone on here could predict the exchange rate next week far less in August they would be millionaires.

You will definitely get a better rate in Turkey (perhaps as much as 8 %)

I would say an average meal for two with drinks would be 80-90 lira but it will vary from place to place.

Todays exchange rate in Fethiye is 3.52tl to a pound so definately a better exchange rate here...Bring enough for your first couple of days and then change the rest up here... We have a Nationwide card and there isnt a charge for drawing sterling out of a machine in Turkey.. We then change our money at our bank over there but there is Dikmens exchange in Fethiye. Someone will tell you the best place in Calis?   A boat trip on a large boat from The Harbour is about £10/12 per person.. If you are sharing a small boat from Calis considerably more... Dolmus fare is round about 2tl per journey now.
