The Markets will be jittery until they know the results of the elections on the 7th June. These are the last elections until 2019 so are important.

It may go higher than 4.0 but I cant see it going the other way much before then.

If it does go down and I get say 1.8 next month then I'll still be happy.  I don't drink so the price of Efes doesn't affect me...lol

If you had gone to the banks Don M. You would have got 4 tl to your £1. Lubbly Jubbly   :)

But that would mean opening a turkish bank account with all the hassle which at my age I can do without. I'm more than happy with what I got.  :)

No you don't have to open a account Don, just show your passport at Sheker Bank,
And you get top rate,

Davybill, where is Shaker bank, as we want to excahnge money in a bank but dont know where to go to do this, or can you just go into any bank with passport for this?

Sunlover, Şekerbank is almost across from HSBC on the back road in Fethiye. Look for a rather regal looking building, very understated advertising. Nice bank, usually very quiet.
