Camera problem #384

Every time I put the memory card into my camera a message comes up " Protected Card"

Is there anyway to stop the little white tab moving into this position.

Is the tightness of your sliding in entry causing problems?

I mean is the action of inserting the card moving the lock switch to move into the lock position? Have you another card to try?

Others may be better placed to answer your first question but I know the answer to your second question is no.

Snap it off !

Check your menu and scroll through the different settings to see if you have protected the card by mistake.

What memory card are you using SD or other ? Do you down load via direct cable from camera to Pc or via a Belkin type card reader, I ask because when I do mine via the Belkin way I can see card status etc on the PC screen and is easier to use. Or you may have a corrupt card. Best of luck
