We will be making a permanent move there soon. ( just in the middle of selling our UK house )
Great place to live. Very cold in winter though. An electric blanket on the sofa helps.
Life can be as busy as you want it to be there. There is always something going on.
There is a great diversity of people living in and around the village which keeps life interesting.
The only concern would be for your disabled partner. It is very hilly.

Good luck whatever you decide.

We had lovely friends in Calis who built their dream house in Uzmulu.  However, the lady would not drive in Turkey and unfortunately, her husband contracted an eye condition that made him unable to see well at night and he would not drive at night.
We met them for lunch one day in Calis and she was very unhappy and felt cut off and was no longer liking her life in Uzmulu, althoug they had also encountered many problems with the house and used up all their savings, mainly due the Estate Agent they bought from. (whcih is another long and sad story) They put the house on the market and moved back to the U.K. but it took 3 years to sell it.
I think they should have rented for a year first before they took the plunge and moved.

Good luck with all the spam now that you've posted your email address for the bots to harvest.

Oh Dear!  not a very wise move to put your email address on a public forum, leaving yourself open to spammers and also to I.D. theft Colin Marshall.

I believe it is a country in a Ukipper's nightmare where benefit-seekers come from to migrate to the UK. But that may be spelled rather differently.
