Obviously Bristol flights have special rates for residents of Scotland. We Bristolians paid over £400 per person for flights to/from Turkey for next June. {I may have mentioned that before}.

To be honest we normally have an overnight stay when we fly back to Edinburgh (normally midnight to 1 am, so no buses available) rather than face a 4 hour drive up the A9.

Booked an Easter holiday break from Bristol to dlm, for £68 each,( kids£63) couldn't resist at that price cheapest we have ever had. Kids will miss one day off school but hey ho!. Oh and there's nothing wrong with the far flung airport in Bristol, although it's not
our local airport what we pay in a taxi to birmingham will be the same a paying parking in Bristol.

Some cracking prices available just now, EDI to DLM for less than £100 rtn (no hold bag) just now in April.  Even May is only £130ish rtn.

Can't remember seeing prices as low as this so long after they were released - I suspect this is an indication that a lot of folks are either going elsewhere or playing the waiting game before booking.

Edit: Just looked at July, not so clever prices for then - £460 rtn with a hold bag!

Not good in October either - it may well be all down to the fact that there isn't that long to go till April but there is more than twice as long for things to pick up in time for for October. They probably won't, but easyjet aren't known for dropping prices, just starting low.

Yes August for us is around the £300 each mark, I'm sitting tight with those at moment.

For those that fancy a break in Istanbul on way to Dalaman, THY are £214 rtn to Istanbul from Edinburgh and Manchester and £150ish from Gatwick & Heathrow.  No extra charges for luggage etc and a far more pleasurable travel experience than with a budget or charter airline.

Cheap IST - DLM flights aren't released until three or four months before travel by THY but there is always Pegagsus from SG.

Remember that, with easyJet, you can get a refund (in the form of money off next booking) if you find your same flight (with same "extras"  ;) are on sale for a lower price than you paid. So I'll be scanning the April/May prices for June flights - for which I paid over £1700 for five of us.

P.S. Thomson aren't helping much with the Turkish tourist trade! I have just received an email from them titled "Fed up of turkey, how about Spain? Costa Rica? Cuba?".

Yes I received that email too - not very loyal to their Turkish associates - the Mutlu hotel for example who are Thomson only.

I think they meant turkey the bird, as opposed to Turkey the country. Still, not a very well thought out email.
