Bombing the hell out of ISIS strongholds in Syria - is that the best way to deal with those who targeted the French and Russian people?

It'll do until someone comes up with a quicker way of eliminating the hateful b###ards.  I would donate towards a bomb.

Bombing physical strongholds may eliminate a number of individuals, but how do you bomb an ideology?

Bombing also kills many innocent people too, and the more you bomb the more of those you kill.

So do we leave ISIL to continue with their butchery, and go after an ideology instead.?

Every ISIL member eliminated is one potential mass killer less. ISIL's victims are innocent people.!!

I agree, but it could be said bombing doesn't achieve the death of mass killers - it achieves the death of anyone in the general area.

The blame for the whole general mess should be laid at a lot of doorsteps, but we are where we are.

One helpful method of slowing them down would be to go after those funding ISIL, but it ain't going to

happen is it.? Until someone comes up with a better solution I see it as the only option. Bomb 'em.

Ironically it often seems to be the same people whinging about the mass migration of refugees across Europe who want to bomb Syria which will defacto lead to even more refugees migrating across Europe.

John F is right, you can't kill an ideology and in case anyone hasn't noticed none of the people in the attacks in Paris were refugees; they were all nationals of Belgium or France.

Stop the money, stop the guns and other arms freely making their way into their hands and let's support a UN led negotiated peace settlement whoch includes the key players like Iran and which both Putin and Obama have now, after FIVE years of war said they support.
