Yet more evidence that I'm a lightweight!
Tried to read Conrad's "Youth" as part of school syllabus.
Crashed and burned.
Surprisingly, I've never watched "Apocalypse Now".
I've never been too keen on war films and have probably missed some good ones.
"Bridge on the River Kwai" was a wonderful exception - all emotions came into play.
Happy to take your advice on "Apocalypse Now" and give it a bash.....
Do "Cabaret" and "South Pacific" count as war films?
Enjoyed them.
Kevin 3 - apart from all the Star Wars (and Mad Max but I didn't like that) I've not seen your choices.
Thank you. I'll give them a bash (already intrigued by "The Ridiculous 6"

. Sounds like it should be in my "watchable rubbish" collection along with" Bill and Ted" and "Trinity is my Name".
I've only recently read that the Revenant is based on a true story. Sounded a bit gory, like the chap who cut his arm off to escape from a mountain. Not sure if it's my cup of tea.
