Gosh, yes.

See it now.....

...and I feel worse.

Looking for a big hole into which I want to jump.

If you want Turkish food I would try The Lokantas in either Gunlukbasi or Fethiye.. You will be able to get a good selection of food in Calis but not many are what you would call "authentic" Turkish... The Mozaic Bahcesi in Fethiye was a great place to eat but has changed hands this season. I would still give it a try....It is Eastern Turkish food and very different to anywhere else.. Eat where the Turkish eat in Gunlukbasi and you wont go far wrong... Chicken half breads, Lamb kebabs are all tasty and cheap there..  The stalls in Calis and Fethiye markets do chicken half breads and  Traditional pancakes but are not as cheap as the lokantas... I can highly recommend The Vitamin Cafe in Gunlukbasi.  You will get more of the Local Turkish feel there as well. It is next door to Calis...   The beaches in that area are not the greatest we tended to use Koca Calis (far end of Calis)   There you can eat in "rustik" restaurants on the beach. The sunbeds are free if you buy drinks and you will be waited on..The food is generally very good there.. Turkish breakfast at The Mekan is superb..

Mercury where is Gunlukbasi? and also when you say that Koca Calis is the far end of Calis - how far is it and how would we get there from the Oykun hotel?

Thank you

For Koca Calis I would say from the Oykun walk towards the Viewing point at the beach, turn right and walk approx 3 Kilometres.

Stand to be corrected on the distance   ;).

For Gunlukbasi from Oykun go on to Main Street, jump on Dolmus heading away from the beach - approximately 1.80 kilometres.

For Koca Calis, you can jump on a dolmus heading towards Calis & stay on until the terminus. The Mekan, as mentioed by Mercury is about a further 1/2 kilometre beyond that

Beat me too it but yes Gunlukbasi is indeed up the road on the Dolmus. . Get off at the first stop after the Citroen Garaj.. The Vitamin bar is just opposite.. There are one or 2 lokantas around there too.. Don't forget to have Turkish Pide which is the Turkish
Equivalent of Pizza but is thinner. Crispier and delish..

I would recommend that you be open minded on the beach bars in Koca.. but they have a magical atmosphere..

That's four in a row Mercury. Transgresses the 'Three Strikes and You're Out' rule. Or it would if there was such a rule on CBF.
