Last October I booked June flights to Turkey for 4 adults and 1 child at the stunning cost of £1720 - the most I've ever paid per person. Today the price would be £850 - less than 50% of the original cost. Gives an indication of bookings coming up. {Now, if Easyjet would only answer the phone I will claim my £870 refund voucher to pay for all my flights to wherever next year.}

See if they have a Twitter or Facebook page and contact them via that - always works for me with Monarch.

Thanks for your suggestion Stoop but I think Easyjet have a strict telephone-only policy on requesting refunds and on cashing-in. I've tried your link now so ... merci.

Just to report back. No reply on Facebook but I finally got though on the phone. I only went for one of the bookings which was for family members. Original cost £1016.85; refund voucher £516 arrived in my email a minute ago. Very nice, thank you. Just to nod to the topic - yes, we are still going!

Listened to an interesting comment by Piers morgan last night. Historically, he was saying we are in a very calm period at present, less conflict in the world and less fatalities through war ect but social media/news hightens everyone awareness to it, we see and here far more than we ever would of done in previous times.
makes you think??

We have been told today that our Cardiff flight for 10 nights has been cancelled. In fact all Cardiff flights to Turkey are to be cancelled.
We have also been told to wait until Monday which is 28 days before travel to find out our options but also that someone will get back to us within 48 hrs.
I asked travel agent is touristism down that much in Turkey, to which she replied yes.
We are all hoping that we get to Turkey this year. Fingers crossed

Patty, I really hope you get here too. We arrived Monday for two weeks and, while I did originally have a few doubts about coming, I'm glad we did. It's still the Calis that we love and there are plenty of tourists about, bearing in mind it's still beginning of the season and I feel further away from any terrorist attack here than I do in the UK. Whether that's me being naive or not I'm not sure but the only downside since we arrived is the weather!  Changing soon hopefully  :) 8) :o

I'm arriving next week on the Friday , my original monarch flight from gatwick leaving at 8pm was changed to 2pm which suits me better, means I will get to Calis in time for a meal and one or two beers

I flew out on 18th April on Thomas Cook - plane was full, no spare seats anywhere.

Flew back last night on Monarch and there were 15 (fifteen) people on the plane.........

I foresee some dramatic changes in all flight schedules for the rest of the year.
