« on: June 10, 2016, 17:45:55 PM »
My friend has just done her visa, but after confirming and paying she has noticed she has put the expiry date of her passport as 2017 when it should have been 2018 does anybody know if she will have to apply for another or will it matter

It's a twenty buck gamble - worst case scenario is playing dumb and being sent to buy visa at counter.

Problem with that is... We were in a huge queue for the desks to get our passports stamped' last month.  We waited 35 minutes to get to the top of the queue and there were still so many people behind us.  If you waited all that time and then had to go to the Visa Desk and then come back to the queue, it would take a very long time and there is no air-conditioning.  The place was like an oven.
Last year we were in the queue for Passort Controll  and a guy in front of us had no Visa, we heard him saying he would just buy one at the counter.  However, there was no one on the Visa Desk.  When the guy got up to get his passport stamped and said he had no Visa  the Turkish Offical total him to go to the back of queue and wait.

Contact number of e-visa call center in UK
United Kingdom:
+44 203 608 8090

On e-visa page frequently asked question section same question asked before and here is the answer..

--------The information on my e-Visa does not FULLY match the information on my travel document. Can I enter Turkey with this e-Visa?
--------No, your e-Visa is invalid. You must obtain another e-Visa.

You can send online enquiry to e-visa section and ask if there is a solution. It's not a big mistake she has just shortened the date of expire :-) On e-visa applicants gives information and system checks if there is any restriction for them. She did not change the name , surname , date of birth, passport number or nationality.

Here is the link for onlline enquiry.
