We've been searched at Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heathrow and Manchester and once they realised it was cheese showing up rather than cartons of liquids, they apologised and left us to take it. Nobody at UK airports appears bothered about what you are taking out, just what you are bringing back in.

Friends came out Stansted to Dalaman y'day & brought me a lovely pork pie & about 1kg of wine gums in their hand luggage for me. Guess wot I'm having for my tea tonight   :P  ;)

That's been the colour of my face when I have sampled some of the lesser quality Turkish wine. Does that count? ;D
