Most of the quality towels you buy at M&S or Dunelm, etc are made in Turkey. The ones on the Sunday market are just the same with the labels intact. We are using them both at home and in Turkey (not at the same time  :)) and they wear just as good as any we have bought in the UK.

There is also a lady (doesn't speak any English) on the Sunday market who I always have sheets and pillow cases off as well, dirt cheap 100% cotton and  they are huge. Always pleased with her stuff even though it looks like its all just buddled onto a table aprox 10 lira for a flat double sheet.

We always buy towels in one of the two shops upstairs on the left in the Erasta Shopping Centre.  One shop is called Engish Homes, the other one is right next door.

There is a branch of English Homes in town now,on the back road (Carsi Cad.)opposite HSBC Bank.

Thank you, however, I still like a vist to the Erasta.  Cannot resist the coffee shops.

A bit dull as subjects go, but are towels still a good buy in Turkey? If so are there any recommendations of places to go - hopefully  somewhere with lots of choice as we are looking for specific colours/combinations.

Thanks!

After 33 posts on the subject of your new towels, I do hope you get some!  We all want pictures please  :)
