No cash payment on a dolmus?

We have just arrived back in Turkey and I have been told that we have to get a pre-paid card for the bus and that the old dolmus system no longer exists? If this is true then how do tourists go on and where do you have to get a card from please? Thanks

I caught a dolmus the other day from Ovacik to Fethiye and just paid 3.5 tl. Will I have to get a card or is it optional?

Optional, at the moment. Calis to Fethiye2.5 tl or 2tl with the card

Card is called Kent Kart is available from "Sembol Market" opposite new micros jet near dolphin roundabout Calis, or Turk Telecom shop in Gunlukbasi, cost is 5TL for card then you top up as much as you require.

Definetely optional seen lots of folk psying with cash still...i am here fir 6 weeks so bought a card and im such a sado as i love it, there is a little like tablet on bus as u get on and you just swipe your kent card over the pad wen u get on, not seeing any of the old style dolmus's now, be aware the drivers seem to be more and more sticking to the D stop signs...
