It is expected that all members show respect to others.

If you can take time to write an advert, you can take time to respect the forum too.

It is considered good manners for new members to introduce themselves prior to posting in other forums. You don't need to give your life history, just a Hi is sufficient, if that is all you want to say.

Property developers and Real Estate agents are NOT local tradesmen and all posts that recommend them will be deleted.

Abusive or gossipmongering personal attacks by members who have signed up under assumed names, with no history, will be removed EVERY TIME.

In essence, if you hide your identity, and your post content is aggressive or targeted at a CBF member, it will be deleted. Even if it may be true! (which is almost always not the case).

If you have scandal, have the balls to put your own name to it.

Email addresses, even your own, are not permitted in posts.

Members can contact each other by email via the member profile link.

All email addresses will be deleted, one exception being the "Local Tradesmen" forum, and then only with the permission of the local tradesman.

Members who are found to post under 'alter ego' user names will receive a warning, if they do it a second time they will be locked out.

All Aliases are locked immediately, no warning.

Private conversations should use the email facility and not the discussion forums.

Private conversations will be deleted.

It is not permitted to post private emails, in whole or part, on CBF without the permission of the author.

Please use the search facility (Google CBF search at the bottom of each forum page and another top right) BEFORE asking your question.

99% of questions have been asked before!

Advertising is permitted in most forms in the "Buy & Sell" forum.

Advertising your own business while appearing to be a happy customer will result in immediate locking of the member.

Do NOT link to real estate websites if you are advertising your property for sale. This will be deleted.

Ask that interested members contact you via your profile.

Please try to keep to the topic of the original post in a thread.

Threads that go off topic will be locked.

'Text speak' style writing is for kids, and is somewhere between difficult and impossible for more 'mature' to follow understand. This style is only permitted in the Kids forums.

All posts outside Kids forums that use text speak will:

a) Be deleted (in instances of replies) or

b) Moved to the kids forum (in instances of new topics).

All posts typed entirely in capitals will now be deleted.
