I think it happens once to most visitor's in Turkey.
I remember putting 20 million deposit on a leather jacket just so I could get out of the shop. Spent the rest of the week avoiding going past the shop !
We live and learn, although it does leave you feeling annoyed at them, and more annoyed with myself for being taken in by it.
I find it amazing that people respond to a slimy old shop keeper rubbing them up when they are shopping for curtains or whatever? And give them money for doing so!! What would you do in Britain if the man in the corner shop came up and started rubbing your body? You would scream, run away and report him to the police and that's what you should do in Turkey. This man is clearly a sex pest and if he tries this with me he'll be in for a bloody shock!
Just printed a photo of this guy from page one and will carry it in my wallet. Now checking my Turkish phrasebook for 'Have you seen this pervy? Then show him the photo....ha ha ha
