My husband and I got caught by this guy last September when we were going up to the tombs and wanted to but some water. He had his sidekick with him who was HUGE and quite scary. We had the tea, turkish delight, lace treatment and despite my protests, after massaging my husband, he continued to give me a massage, lifting my clothes and outting his hands right down the back of my shorts, which I did not want. I offered him 20L and he kicked off saying it was 40L I told him we did not ask for massages, tea etc but ended up giving him 30L just to get away. Very intimidated and quite scared as its a tiny shop. Don't go near it.

We had never seen this guy until our last visit, one week ago. But thanks to this Forum we had been made aware of him and avoided any unpleasantness. Thanks everyone.

Hes still there up to his old tricks. He will ask "are you English Deutsch Swedish" and try to shake you hand, just reply Chinese or Eskimo and carry on walking. We passed a few times I said I was Apache by this time I think he got the message.
Apologies to any Chinese, Eskimo and Apaches on the forum.
Next time we go out I plan on taking a false hand with me. Oh what fun. I cant wait to shake his hand LOL.

Hi everybody I'm Sue Chris's other half. Can't believe it we thought we were the only ones, also done by him in September 06. He told us he was married to an English lady for 30 years. He seemed such a nice friendly man. He called us in for apple tea which is quite normal for the Turkish people. Then came the rubbish massage, then he asked for 20ytl each, Chris told him "on your bike" and gave him 5ytl which was far too much for what he had done. We told our Turkish friends and they wanted to sort him out, said he should be reported to their police. They said it gives Turkey a bad name?

Hey Guys,

No way!!! me & my friends hired some quad bikes and we broke down infront of his shop, and in no time he was there with a bit of rope so we could pull the other quad. He was nearly forcing apple tea down our necks and dragging us into the shop! I quickly made my excuses and got on the bike on drove off! lucky escape I think....
