We must not forget that the Orient Resort Hotel (better known to most of us as the Aries) is all inclusive. It is pretty cheap too, possibly because it is said to be dire. Orient Hotel details

We had a walk through the Orient last September. There was "entertainment" on and a group of "easternblock" women around their 50s, throwing their half naked bodies around the bar area! They were singing at the top of their voices and generally making a fool of themselves. We appeared to be the only English speaking folk around.
There was a constant coming and going of large tour buses on a daily basis, leaving at all hours of the day and night.
We stayed across from the hotel, but it honestly is not for me.
PS, they advertise a spa/massage/beauty facility which allegedly is popular.

Well, 'I've nailed my colours to the mast' and booked into the Bahar for two weeks, sometime in the next 3 months. As I've heard no derogatory comments from other forum members,I'll be one of the first to give an unbiased review of the hotel for you all! (unless someone else out there in CBF land beats me to it) Watch this space. :D

Hi Sannyrut. My parents arrived back from Icmeler a couple of weeks ago, and they loved the resort. They also went AI, to the L'etoile Hotel. They had nothing negative to say about their experience there either. All the best for you and your trip. I hope warp65 is having the time of his life at the Bahar too!  ;)

Hi silverfox...

I write this sitting by the pool at the Bahar... using the complimentary wifi!

Bahar is alright... food and drink seems reasonable.. bit of a struggle for beds around the pool... all in, I'm quietly impressed so far... rooms are a little basic but you get what you pay for really..

Looking forward to exploring calis and fethyhe a bit more today
