150 jobs have been created by Jet2 who will now fly from Glasgow. Destinations do indeed include Dalaman, apparently from £69.99 each way including taxes etc.

Thanks for the information Keith, I got really excited so I just went to the website and was really pleased they fly on a Saturday not mid week like T.C. Flights looked good at £89.99.   So I put in return flight for next May. This is what I got back:

Basis Fare              359.96
Taxes & Charges          81.00
Bags                     67.95
Online Check-in          16.00
Seat Selection           15.96

Total                   £540.88

So the bottom line for us is, it's cheaper to go with T.C. from Aberdeen and more convenient as we would not have the 3 hour drive to Glasgow.
When will there ever be a cheap flight from Scotland?

nothing is free with Jet2! 22kgs luggage allowance for which you pay and 10kgs hand luggage which is included. unless youre willing to take pot luck all seat selection is chargeable however they do have a proportion of the cabin given over to extra legroom seating and they are good seats. Whats more after all the kerfuffle this year with flight companies going t*ts- i'd say they are reliable and convenient.
The price Jackie has quoted is far less than we paid this year to go from leeds- so its not just Scotland! The only year we've ever got a cheapie was the year Aegean was doing some good deals but the times were awful and we had to shleppe to manchester!
Join the Jet2 points club thing and start accuing some free flights!

Enough room for one leg and one in the hold. Feet extra. Meals free to all people paying the special "free meals fee" which is £8 per flight.

They're much cheaper than TC for choosing your seat but that's about all. I priced flights for September and they came to around £400  for 2 ( without cases as I have everything in my apt) but 10kg hand luggage ( TC is only 5kg )
I could get TC flights for just over £400 but it then costs me £150 to choose the emergency exit seats I want.
So def cheaper overall . 2.5% cc charge
