This is Olivia Colman, a name I'd never heard in my life till last night. I do recognise the old boat though :)

She was on The Graham Norton Show last night, and he (Graham) introduced her as the "beautiful Olivia Colman". Was he being hosty and professional, or am I missing something..?
-
Perhaps he meant her personality rather her looks

Highlander has an iPad mini :o

She is on the Kumar's at the moment. She has won two BAFTA's and has been in a lot of things on T.V. and also in films. She is one of those people you recognise, but don't know her name.
I have seen her being interviewed quite a few times and she comes over as a really nice person..However, when on T.V. everyone is introduced as "lovely" or "the very beautiful"... It's just lovey talk.
-
Wow, HIghlander. very cool...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

-
I love her, excellent actress and very attractive woman!
-
slikmrs. What do you find harsh about my statement.?
I find her quite attractive, fact.!
Someone else does'nt, fact.!
-
the old boat
Probably younger than you.
-
No kev , I was agreeing, wrote mine before I read yours..thought the same. The harsh was aimed at scunners comment.
And she is kkob..

Think Scunner referring to her "Old Boat" was using cockney rhyming slang...Boat Race...Face! So, her old boat, means her face. ;)
Us Scousers have a broad understanding of language.... Particularly, those of us living in Scotland. 8) : :) ;D

Haha knock it on the 'ed, up the apples and pears & put your dukes up!
I bet she is a fine actress, nice person and all these other things that I at no time said she wasn't. I didn't say she was ugly either. My point may be too subtle for some so I'll try again. Accepting that she is unlikely to win any beauty contests, why pander and grovel to these celebrity types by saying she is beautiful. He could have said talented, great, actress, plenty of other options.
But for the record, to me she fits the description of our very own CBF member Jukebox. She looks like she could eat an apple through a letterbox :D

I was Thinking about Jukey when the U tube music posts started, have we lost him to facebook ?

Awwww, fanks fer that Jacks ! I never 'spected to get lessons in Cock-A-Ney from a Scouse Haggis Muncher tho. ;)
Was it you that coached Dick Van Dyke for his part in Mary Poppins ? ;)

Beauty based on looks is over rated, dare I say shallow and subjective. I have no idea who she is but I can't say she doesn't look beautiful to me based on that photo above.
The world is full of non entity celebs fawning all over each other and its full too of people joining in, following and talk about their love lives, their break ups and what clothes they are wearing and what TV programme they are participating in blah blah blah. Like it actually matters!!!!
-
Very true. And the most irritating ones - those who never appear on chat shows then have a new book/film/cosmetic range coming out and come on only to plug it. And we are supposed to be grateful they got this person to come on the show.
-
The majority of chat shows are fed by the "celebrities" doing the rounds of publicity for their book, new film, TV series etc. If they just had interesting people who had nothing to plug they'd have a very small pool to pick from.

Peter Andre ???

The answer is not to watch this type of tripe but apparently people love it :)
-
You don't know if it is tripe unless you watch this kind of tripe though do ya :)
p s.
I think she's stunning. :)
-
Do you really Dave? That's a serious question by the way.
-
Scunner thinks she's oar-some. ;D ;D

Well I sure was stunned when I first saw her photo. :)

It's a strange place, Facebook. You can post a photo of an elephant that's had it's head blown off, but suggest that a celebrity may perhaps not be beautiful...
-
And you're in the boathouse. :(

Each to their own. Not beautiful. Seemed a nice lady, quite good fun, not the elephant woman by any means. But certainly not beautiful. Just my opinion and if people don't like me having an opinion then tough :D
-
Scunner im absolutely appalled at you. i cant believe that you watch Graham Norton
-
He watches Eastenders too.....a hopeless case.
-
I do not watch these programmes. They are "on". :D
-
