Just felt earthquake tremor 12.26am ( ish ) - quite scary - was just going to loo - and suddenly felt as if I was having a dizzy wobble.
O/H felt it too.
We're on floor 2 of Hotel Mutlu.
Anyone else feel it?

Yes were in Catalarik felt it too
-
Yes it was quite a wobble. You would feel it more being higher up. According to the earthquake website it was 5.2 centred in the Antalya region

Hope everyone is safe.
Is it any real surprise after the "strange" weather over the last month or is it a normal cyclical event.

Seismic events have nothing to do with weather - more to do with the numerous fault planes in the area.

As usual I thought the dog was having a therapeutic scratch!!!

Yes I did feel a tremor in Calis and so did some other people.

Yes I remember that confused feeling you get when you feel the dog having a scratch while lying up against the settee, then you see the dog on the other side of the room :o
-
Even worse when it's the missus - ending up on other side of the room that is, not having a scratch!

Yeah, I felt a tremor here at Violet. It was bit like seeing a shooting star. Did I? or didn't I? : :) Looked out the window and the pool was quite rippley. Quite chuffed really as up till then I was an earthquake virgin ;) Does anybody know any numbers yet?
Oh, just seen the 5.2 posted by Pi55y :o

It woke us up in Icmeler last night.. the bed shook...
-
once again I never felt a thing!!!!!!!
-
Only the second one I've felt in 18 months - woke me up.
Thought one of the dogs had snuck upstairs and was trying to jump on the bed at first.
Mr WB was blissfully unaware, having imbibed several bottles of Efes with friends earlier.
Proof that beer is good for you....?! ;D

That reminded me of the first biggie that happened while I was in Turkey.
Half past eight on a Sunday morning, stuff flying everywhere in the apartment, the whole site outside with the usual everyone shouting/talking/screaming at once, dogs barking like crazy, kids wailing... never felt/heard a thing courtesy of several large yerli gins at Car Cem not that many hours previously.
It was pretty localised to Karagozler, no-one in town had even felt a slight tremor.
Sitting on the terrace that evening, the first aftershock sent me sliding along the terrace for 2m. Being on the third floor, I decided that I'd had enough fresh air and went to the pub instead. Again, nothing felt in town.
