ADVENT CALENDAR FUNDRAISER 2024
Following on from my earlier post I am going to run a fundraiser which has been successful since 2013.

There are many members of this and other groups who love Calis so this is an opportunity to give a little back. If you are in a position to do so, please consider taking part. It is for what I believe to a very good cause - helping kids who have very little.

For those who are not familiar with the how the fundraiser worked on Calis Beach Forum, you simply just have to choose a date (or dates) between 1st and 25th of December.

Behind each of 25 doors on the calendar is a monetary amount – 10 x £ 7’s, 10 x £12’s, 4 x £ 17’s and 1 x £ 25.

By choosing a date(s) you agree to donate the amount behind the door. You can, of course, donate more.

I will open a door each day starting on December 01 to reveal the amount behind the door.

If things go as well as previous years I am hopeful that we can fill at least one other calendar and successfully run the '12 days of Christmas fundraiser.

All proceeds will go to the Calis Children’s Charity.

Many thanks.

ADVANCE NOTICE:

I'll be launching the 2024 Advent Calendar Fundraiser on behalf of the Calis Childrens Charity on 01 November.

Given the financial struggle the local people continue to have, I am looking forward to it being at least as successful as previous years.

If you can, please consider taking part.

If you book for the restaurant they pick you up from calis beach. There's a jetty near brother's restaurant.

Expat & Property Owners Q and A Forum / e-Devlet Password reset
« Last post by iankirk on August 07, 2024, 16:44:24 PM »
Hi. Has anyone had to reset their e-Devlet password?
I've tried to log in but it says my username or password are incorrect so I have to assume that something has gone awry with my password as my username is my email address.
I've tried it online and also downloaded the app to my mobile but get the same result.
When I select 'Forgot Password' it asks for identity type which I selected  'Identity Card'.
It then asks for TR Identity Number which I assume is my Yabanci Kimlik No, then the Serial No which I guess is three characters in upper case followed by a space then three six digits shown in the bottom right of my card.
It then asks for a relatives Identity Number which I find strange as I know many people who do not have a relative with an ID. As it happens, I've tried using my wife's ID. Finally, I copy the security code given into the box provided but it just comes back and tells me the details are incorrect.
I'm in the UK at the moment so can't get to a PTT for help and I've had an email telling me to log in to check a document.

Any guidance would be massively appreciated.

HI Laurie

I booked an apartment through VRBO last October for a 2 week stay in June of this year.

Unfortunately, because of the new permit law that has been introduced and the apparent confusion at that time, the owner of the apartment was unable to get the permit in time for our  reservation, so on VRBO's recommendation, we had to cancel, but we got our full refund within a couple of hours and we were able to rebook with an apart hotel through booking.com.

So the answer to your question, is VRBO legit - in our experience - yes

Hope this helps in your decision making process, oh and by the way, enjoy Calis Beach, its fabulous!

Cheers
