Another gent, may he rest in peace. Supported a local hospice in Jarrow. NO fee, even made a donation.

I was working at the European Open many years ago, and there was a pre-tournament Pro-Am day.  The place was packed out with celebs.  Some of the celebs were clearly not too happy when Frank appeared, and in some cases seem to slide away.  Frank was just like he was on stage, a gag a minute, an infectious laugh, and couldn't do enough for the people there and for the charities involved. Thinking about it at the time, I concluded that some of celebs who slid away, may have been envious of Frank's down to earth talent, but some were simply not going to stand around as they just couldn't compete with him.

A big-hearted entertainer who will be sadly missed, and let's be honest there's not a lot of them left ... I bet he's still standing at the gate cracking off gags to St Peter:D:D
