Thanks guys. I think from your responses it's hit and miss. We've only got hand luggage, but it's only a spare so if they take it off us it's no big deal really. (re previous post...what is the point of having a blender with no blades?) Anyway. cheers for the input.

Lol... I know, but security may think you want the blades to use as a weapon, yes , weird I know, I would much rather have a blender too.  Sue xx

Kipa have one on offer at the moment, their promotion runs until 1 May.  Arçelik 1252 Hbs Blender set which includes the hand blender, chopper and mixer for 79.90 lira, usual price 99.90 lira.  With the current rate of exchange this works out at £22.63 which is pretty cheap and Arçelik is a reasonable make.

Marggie, that is a brilliant price and better than what I have. We have to go to Kipa for stuff anyway when we get there so I may as well use the 5kg weight for something else!. Cheers x
