The loss of yachts must be commonplace in the resort of Mugla. Last time I went there were none at all.

Me neither.  However in the province of Mugla it is becoming commonplace, this the third to suffer major fire damage recently - Marmaris I believe lost two to fire a few weeks (?) ago.

"The yachting world is in shock as a huge fire has caused serious damage to two superyachts in the Turkish town of Marmaris. The fire started at approximately 2am this morning (January 4) on board the iconic 70.68 metre  Lürssen  The One. Approximately 30 minutes later it spread to neighbouring 52 metre  Al Jadaf  Barbie."

Those two were reckoned to be worth $50million between them. So that's a fair amount of value gone up in smoke so far this year in Mugla province.
