Thanks everyone for the welcome,I got a dig in the ribs this morning, did'nt mention my better 'arf' did I? I'm married to Sue,(I forgot to include that in my intro)like me, she also loves Calis. We've been to Turkey about 12 times Marmaris,Bodram,Icemeler etc but Fethiye and in particular,Calis such a beautiful place, the sunsets are a photograhpers dream, the people are so cheerful. The only exception to the rule seems to be the people at Dalaman Airport where they must have had a charisma bypass operation.

Hello all,we hope every ones ok it's been a very hot summer over there judging by the tv reports in the uk.We are coming over in Sept, hoping it's cooled down a bit by then ,as you will all know the floods over here have been the worst in living memory. We were ok though, anyone thats had weetabix for breakfast will know that however much milk you put on them ,they just soak it up, you run out of milk first .So when we saw the weather forcast and it started raining we got the weetabix out and stacked them up across the doorways front and back ,not a drop got through. All that money they spent on the Thames Barrier,a few boxes of weetabix at the ready ,that's all that's needed....see you soon ...Moggy

Hello everyone
thanks for the warm welcome you gave us.We're looking forward to coming over again and hope its cooled down a bit by the time September comes.
When we were over in May it didn't seem very busy, not many boat trips, the promenade in Calis was quieter than usual, I think there was a worry over the coming election, has it perked up any, now that its sorted out?
Has the new Dolmus service started yet from the Alperin and if so does it go any where near Migros? Thanks for looking
