Worked out I can buy a phone for 100ytl and get it registered at point of sale. I already have 2 sims but if I need another it's not really a problem.

Good news, I have just tried my phones and one has been unblocked already, the other is still blocked, but the lady did say it would take at least a week to do, well at least I have one phone working that should keep my daughter happy.

Anyone yet found anyone in Fethiye that knows what to do once Dave has done the on line reg bit. Ive got 2 phones blocked - ebays gonna make a mint out of me if i do that every month!!

You need to go to customs at dalaman, with a valid filght ticket, receipt, phone etc all in your name. At the moment cant find a way to get round that but am still trying, once customs have stamped the darn form, you then have to go to Mugla to a turkcell shop and they forward all the dubbish to Ankara and then you wait. Loverly.....ps ,make sure its a dayflight else customs closed....

Just been on the Turkcell site and my phone is now blacklisted!!! A waste of 25 quid but hey it was fun trying (not).

What is the cheapest safest way of having your own mobile phone presence in Turkey ? I dont have a Uk mobile ! but was thinking of buying one to use for a few weeks/month in Turkey before returning to The UK . Any help appreciated as really have to have a Mobile , now . All this stuff about registering and blacklisting numbers in Turkey is just making me more confused as don't know the best option , please advise !

Go to a mobile phone shop and buy a new mobile and sim card. Approx 50gbp and registered there and then.
